“ A local guide recommended this Italian restaurant and we finally went to see it. My way of figuring what is a good Italian restaurant is ordering their lasgna and tiramisu. So I went for it and ordered those. The lasgna was soft, fresh and delicious. Very close to what I have had in top Italian restaurants in Boston. The tiramisu, while it is not made at the restaurant and expected it to flop, I was pleasently surprised to that it was very fluffy, light and perfect sweetness. I don't want to forget to mention the bread they brought to the table while waiting for the food which was also fresh, soft and warm. The bread was accompanied with garlicy olive oil and butter to please the different people at the table. The service was super courteous and attentive. I would recommend you to visit this little hidden gem in Merrimack and call ahead for a reservation. There is plenty of free parking and conveniently located in the center of town? ”
“ Portofinos is relatively new to us, went with friends, and loved it ... we have been back now 3 times with other friends and it has continued to impress. The ambiance is only the start , the food is absolutely phenomenal and followed up by the service making this 10 out of 10... I haven't been to the outside seating and the live music yet as we are not in that season, BUT we will be there for its opening in the spring. Reservations are recommended as they are a local favorite hot spot...and ous too! Check it out you wont be disappointed . ”

“ A friend gave us a gift card to Portofinos and we had the opportunity to go yesterday for my birthday. I can’t tell you how surprised I was in how absolutely delicious everything was. We had the harvest sangria with eggplant caprese. Our entree was chicken parmigiana and a dish my wife had call Laguna. Both were incredible. We were both so happy to have the chance to go to this wonderful restaurant. ”

“ Authentic Italian. Chef is from Italy. All dishes made from scratch. No heat lamps, goes straight from the pan onto a plate. This is better Italian food than the entire North End of Boston which is why people from that area come up to Portofino's for dinner... the price point is shocking for the quality of the food. Picture shows their gnocchi mozzarella dish and then the butternut squash as well. Both were incredible. Highly recommend! ”
“ Visited this Italian restaurant for lunch. Older but cozy venue. Easy parking. Waitress was quick and very polite. I ended up eating the chicken balsamico which was absolutely delicious. I could taste that the food was made from scratch and well cooked. Their in-house margarita was also surprisingly well done. I will definitely come back! ”
